In short: On April 16, 2020, the working group of conformity assessment in Russia took decision to create recommendations on remote audit control due to the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19. In the document will be listed recommendations for Certification Bodies on the rules of inspection control and analysis of manufacturing conditions in a remote mode. If this document will be published, it will help to resolve the most problematic case of analysis of manufacturer side before issuing the Certificates of Conformity for serial production.
Recommendations on remote inspection control due to the spread of coronavirus infection
On April 16, 2020, the working group on monitoring problematic issues of conformity assessment in Russia due to the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19 took decision to create recommendations on remote inspection control.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Russian Federal Service for Accreditation (Rosakkreditatsiya), Rosstandart, the Federal Customs Service of Russia, industry associations and associations of product manufacturers.
In the document will be listed recommendations for Certification Bodies on the rules of inspection control and analysis of manufacturing conditions in a remote mode. The recommendations will indicate that the certified products comply with the requirements confirmed during certification and confirm the legality of issuing a Certificate of conformity.
During the meeting it was also discussed the possibility of extending the validity of documents on conformity assessment for the period of spread of COVID-19.
In the future, the working group will monitor the issues in the field of conformity assessment that require special attention from the specialized public authorities, as well as the measures to be taken for solving them.
