On August 9, 2019 was adopted the International standard GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019 “General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories”. The document came into force as the national standard on September 1, 2019.
It was established a three-year period for the transition of testing and calibration laboratories to the new version of the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017. This means that test laboratories must be assessed for compliance with the new ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard and get a new Accreditation by November 2020. The verification of compliance with these requirements will be carried out by the Federal State Control.
The transition plan has been developed in order to allow members of national accreditation system to get adaptation to the new requirements. The Federal Service for Accreditation offers a number of trainings, seminars and online courses offered by State for free. With help of the online training course on the unified educational platform accredited experts, technical specialists, managers and experts of testing and calibration laboratories have access to the educational content on the implementation of the requirements of GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019.
In addition, it is planned to organize seminars with the participation of international experts on the study of foreign experience in implementing the requirements of the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs that have valid accreditation in the national accreditation system as testing laboratories (centers) and calibration laboratories are invited to approve transition on activities according to GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019, to bring the quality manual in conformity with the requirements of this document and meet the requirements of the management system established in the quality manual.
