Re-issue of the Certificate, if the address of the Applicant has changed?
On January 16, 2020, the Federal Accreditation Service of Russia (Rosakkreditatsiya) published a short summary of the meeting on implementation of the decision on standard conformity assessment schemes.
It was stated that existing regulations do not require replacing the Certificate of conformity in case of a change of location (address of the legal entity) of the applicant. Hence, it should be noted once again: if the applicant has changed his address, he does not need to replace the Certificate of conformity.
Accordingly, the customs authorities, when doing customs control, will follow this policy.
We recall that the standard schemes of conformity assessment were approved on April 18, 2018 by the decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission № 44.
According to Chapter 13 "Replacement or issuance of the duplicate of the Certificate of conformity of products", in case of change of location (address of legal entity) or address of the applicant's place of business (if the addresses are different), it is allowed to replace the Certificate without a number of procedures for obtaining an authorisation document. Such procedures include filing an application, product identification or selection of their samples, conducting tests, analysis of the manufacturing conditions, etc.
